Hp Nexian Ponsel

HP Nokia C3, C6 , E5

Android Apk - Nokia memperkenalkan tiga ponsel messaging terbarunya.

Makam Mbah Priok - Until today, April 14, clashes between the locals and public order officers (Satpol PP) are still ongoing following the clearing of Habib Hasan bin Muhammad Al Hadad or Mbah Priok’s tomb on Wednesday, April 14.

Thirty one officers had to receive medical treatments at Koja Hospital after being engaged in the fight. Of the number, five people are seriously injured and had to undergo surgeries.

Among the victims, Hermanto may have the worst fate. His right arm was busted and had to be amputated due to sharp object slashes.

Meanwhile, Ariseto is suffering from a severe wound on the back of his head that needs to be operated. Another officer named Eko was also hit by a spear while his colleague Solihin has his leg broken. There was also Firly, whose left palm was torn up until his elbow.

Regarding the policy of the clearing, in various occasions, Deputy Mayor Atma Senjaya said the clearing of the gate and the pavilion at Mbah Priok’s tomb has been in line with the Jakarta Governor’s instruction no 132/2009 on Buildings Order.

According to him, the tomb was built on PT Pelindo II’s land in accordance with property management rights (HPL) No 01/ Koja with the width of 1.452.270 square meter.

On the other hand, the tomb’s guardians see the clearing as a violation because the cemetery complex and the mosque have an official certificate that was issued during the Dutch occupation.

Vegetarian Scanner

Vegetables Recipes - Have you found yourself in a grocery store staring blankly at an ingredients label making every attempt to translate the complex naming and numbering system used to denote additives? This can be especially frustrating for vegetarians and vegans who are trying to determine if that box of delicious munchies they have their eyes on contains animal products. Thankfully a new application called Vegetarian Scanner developed by Mello Apps Limited alleviates this aggravation once and for all.*

Vegetarian Scanner enables users to snap photos of an ingredients label utilizing the iPhone’s camera. It will then automatically scan and determine if the ingredients are vegetarian friendly without the need of a network connection. The Vegetarian Scanner performs all of its functions entirely on the iPhone itself.

The Halal Scanner, another app created by Mello Apps Limited, was the motivation behind the development of the Vegetarian Scanner. Both applications decipher the seemingly esoteric e-numbering system, the codes found on food labels that define additives.

“The problem we were trying to solve was that of halal e-numbers. When we go out shopping we come across e-numbers in many food products. These numbers confused me as I am sure it has others. So we set out to build Halal Scanner,” explained developer Faizal Mohammed. "Once we completed Halal Scanner, we ported our app to Vegetarian Scanner and that is how the app was born.”

When asked if Vegetarian Scanner would be available for other platforms, namely Android, Mohammed replied, “We've been asked this numerous times so it shows there may be a demand for it but we have no plans for an Android version. We are so busy promoting our existing apps for now. But this may change depending on the success of Vegetarian Scanner.”

So presently that means you need an iPhone 3GS , iPod touch, iPhone 2G or iPhone 3G to enjoy this innovative new application. Full features are available on the iPhone 3GS only. The Vegetarian Scanner is available exclusively in the Health & Fitness category of the App Store for $1.99.

When Titans (and Myths and Films)

Nostalgia for good storytelling is the power behind the film Clash of the Titans. There is no deconstruction in this film, no attempt to employ the magic of anachronism to drive home the point that myths are eternal and they are forever being told. That in their retelling objects and events from other periods mix with those of other dynasties and other empires, and we grin at the liberal appropriations.

The film begins with a voice that could have emanated from those costume dramas of the ’50s. Of stories written in the stars. Constellations!

The camera soars into the heavens, floats into the open spaces where stars cluster together and only galaxies limit our imagination of the infinite. Call me old-fashioned but this was the kind of cinema that used to dominate our filmic consciousness when cinemas stood alone, cut off from any promise of malls or department stores. In those years, stars were not only big, cinemas were huge. No one had yet ever thought of standalone cinemas. Movie theaters then, by divine ruling, stood alone or big against one another, or mighty and decorous. The narratives were even bigger. The inflections were rococo; the plots were baroque. Simple was not part of the aesthetics.

You see all this in Clash of the Titans. The first few minutes of the film were just that: epic and Homeric. Cecil B. DeMille could be sighing with relief where he is now upon seeing the beginning of the film. This is not a film but a fantasy, an extravaganza of adventure. Some critics have called it an affectionate retelling of the original, which was done in the early ’80s; others are disappointed with the lack of propulsive nonstop action.

The film opens in the middle of the sea, where a coffin-like contraption floats into the sight of an ordinary fisherman. The man pries open the container and inside is a dead mother holding a bawling infant. It is Perseus and the dead woman is Danae. We remember Danae from the Greek mythology as the woman who is visited by Zeus, who, this time, comes in a shower of gold.

By the time the glimmer has disappeared, the woman is pregnant. In the film, Zeus takes on the form of Danae’s husband, Acrisius, who in other tales is really her father. But who cares? If gods can assume different shapes to fool and impregnate mortals, then stories—or at least their structures—can change countenances.

The thrill, in fact, of watching Clash of the Titans is not so much in how it maintains fidelity (again, gods and goddesses were themselves not icons of amorous loyalty) to mythologies, but in how it grins and winks at us for the liberties taken with the stories of these powerful men and women, gods and demigods alike.

Forget Homer and Edith Hamilton, and forget even the older version of the film that nearly sank with actors presumed to be Olympian enough in weight and thespian prowess. Or have you forgotten the Zeus of Laurence Olivier? The “original” Clash had more dames (present then and future then) that a classical presentation could bear. Even the Stygian Witch was given to a dame: Flora Robson.

Ursula Andress, at a certain point of her career and our enervation, was declared the Most Beautiful Woman in the World. My grandmother, an Elizabeth Taylor fan, fumed and waited for days to see the face of Andress. My grandmother, I remember, declared the Swiss actress old, and it was still for her Elizabeth Taylor, not the actress but as Cleopatra, as the loveliest of them all. See, intertextuality was alive then. But Ursula Andress was Aphrodite, the goddess of Love and Beauty, in Clash and my grandmother thundered for days.

If Ray Harryhausen, the special-effects person and also producer of the 1981 Clash, was also one of the stars of that film, then animation and CGE and all other technologies take over in the current Clash. To top it all: 3D is the bard for this epic.

It must be said, however, that despite the gripping technological embrace that threatens to overwhelm the film, the actors refuse to be suffocated out of screen. Polly Walker, who was a presence in the miniseries Rome, seems to have cornered the classics onscreen.

She is Cassiopeia long before this strong woman was turned into a set of stars. Liam Neeson is a mighty Zeus give and take the sheen and sparkle that dapple his presence. This special effect meant, I believe, to indicate the supreme awe we should feel before his presence, renders his Zeus with a very Las-Vegasy look. No wonder then that Neeson’s Zeus loses to Ralph Fiennes’s Hades. The latter comes in through this very fashionable chaos of a smoke. Fiennes’s Hades gives the word “smokescreen” a new meaning. Fiennes speaks with an edge and a rasp. His hunch makes him imperfect and somewhat tells us the poignancy of being a god made by man.

Who can be Perseus is a man who can wear a skirt and still remain a man. Sam Worthington is that man. He is that actor.

At the end of the long story, however, the one great thing about this Clash of the Titans is its discourse on how the Titans were taken over by the Gods and the Goddesses of Olympus. The battle is exciting because this film, with the compromise of a figure half-man and half-god in Perseus, takes on the idea that man eventually will take over the divinities. Charming is the part when Perseus refuses to acknowledge his semidivine origin. This new narrative of a saga in ancient human history is a brave and crazy undertaking with lots of daring and irreverence.

Clash of the Titans is directed by Louis Leterrier, who is behind films like Transporter and The Incredible Hulk.

World Cup Will Be Safe

With World Cup security plans already under intense scrutiny, South Africa's police minister is worried about the image of the host country following the brutal killing of right-wing leader Eugene Terreblanche but said that the tournament would not be affected.

"We are always concerned about the perception of South Africa," Nathi Mthetwa said. "It's the violent nature of crime in South Africa that makes us be concerned and be worried."

But Mthetwa said the government has taken a tough stance against crime and the killing of Terreblanche, who was bludgeoned to death Saturday, will not affect soccer's marquee event.

"I can say that with the plans we have put in place, with our tough stance in the fight against crime, we are starting to see the results," Mthetwa said in the northwest town of Ventersdorp, close to the scene of Terreblanche's grisly murder.

"There will be no person who commits crime in South Africa and kill people or a person, and get away scot-free without the full might of the law."

Terreblanche, the leader of the white supremacist Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB) was killed in his bed in what police described as a wage dispute with two of his black workers. The incident has increased racial tensions in the country and added to safety fears just nine weeks ahead of the World Cup.

Team and fan safety for the June 11-July 11 event was already subject to close examination because of the country's high rate of violent crime.

The World Cup organizing committee said Monday that they would not comment on Terreblanche's murder. Local organizing committee spokesman Rich Mkhondo referred The Associated Press to government statements.

Police and the South African government have said the murder was not a political crime, and would have no impact on the World Cup.

President Jacob Zuma called for calm following the "terrible deed" and asked South Africans "not to allow agent provocateurs to take advantage of this situation by inciting or fueling racial hatred."

But a top AWB member said that the killing of Terreblanche on his farm just outside Ventersdorp, about 68 miles northwest of Johannesburg, was a "declaration of war" by blacks against whites in South Africa.

Andre Visagie said his group would tell teams to reconsider their participation in the World Cup.

"We're going to warn those nations, 'You are sending your soccer teams to a land of murder,'" Visagie said. "Don't do that if you don't have sufficient protection for them."

Visagie said his group would avenge Terreblanche's death, but gave no details.

ANC spokesman Jackson Mthembu told the AP that it was wrong for the AWB to cast doubt on security preparations for the World Cup. Mthembu said the World Cup was for all South Africans, not just blacks.

"We have to give all the support we can for the World Cup to happen here in South Africa," Mthembu said. "And we think our compatriots in the AWB should do the same as other patriotic South Africans."

Interpol secretary general Ronald Noble said in Johannesburg last week he was satisfied with South Africa's security plans for the World Cup. About 41,000 police officers will be deployed for the monthlong tournament.
